From a home practice to a hospital on the highway.

Dr. Connie Schmidt was in the first class to graduate from Oregon State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, in 1983. She came to Lebanon for her first job, worked in a mixed practice for 18 months, then went out on her own, seeing patients from her home.

The practice moved into town and grew to about twenty people. Dr. Schmidt still runs a ranch outside Lebanon with Shorthorn cattle, Dorset sheep and several breeds of horses, so she knows your animals from both sides of the fence.

“It is a great career, because I have never been bored.”
